Rutherford Plasma Physics Communication Prize

In April, the Fusion CDT supported ‘A Glass of Seawater’ podcast won the Rutherford Plasma Physics Communication Prize for its success in bringing plasma physics to new audiences. The prize is worth £500 and will be used to help support the podcast team as they continue to interview students and prominent academics in the field of plasma physics and fusion energy. William Trickey received the award during the 2019 IOP Plasma Physics Conference in Loughborough, on behalf of the podcast organizing committee (including Andrew Malcolm-Neale, Bhavin Patel and  Charles Vincent). The podcast delves deep into the world of plasma physics and nuclear fusion, covering the ideas, the machines and the people behind them. You can read more about it and download episodes here.

Congratulations to the podcast team!
